What is regenerative medicine?
Regenerative medicine is an area of care focused on supporting the body's own healing response for joint and soft tissue concerns. At Zest, it is delivered under physician supervision after a medical evaluation.
What is PRP therapy?
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy concentrates platelets from a sample of your own blood and injects them under physician guidance into a target area to support healing.
What conditions is PRP commonly used for?
PRP is commonly evaluated for knee and joint pain, tendon and ligament concerns, and certain soft tissue problems. Candidacy always depends on the specific diagnosis.
How does PRP therapy work?
Your blood is drawn and processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors, which are then injected into the target area to support your body's natural healing response.
Who may be a candidate for PRP?
Adults with a specific joint or soft tissue concern who complete a medical evaluation and have appropriate bloodwork may be considered. Dr. Ward decides individually.
What is peptide therapy?
Peptide therapy uses specific short amino-acid peptides under medical supervision to support recovery, energy, body composition, or metabolic goals.
How does peptide therapy work?
Peptides act as signaling molecules that influence specific biological pathways. The right peptide, dose, and monitoring plan are selected during a physician evaluation.
What is hormone optimization?
Hormone optimization is a physician-guided approach that uses lab testing and medical evaluation to identify and address hormonal imbalances affecting symptoms.
What are common signs of hormone imbalance?
Fatigue, mood changes, low libido, weight changes, sleep disruption, and hot flashes are common signs. Symptoms are confirmed with testing before any treatment.
How does medical weight loss work?
Medical weight loss combines diagnostic testing, a personalized nutrition and activity plan, and, when appropriate, supervised medication support such as GLP-1 programs.
Does Zest offer GLP-1 weight loss programs?
Yes. Zest offers GLP-1 weight loss support for eligible patients under physician supervision, after a medical evaluation confirms candidacy.
What happens during my first appointment?
You will meet Dr. Ward for a consultation: discussing your concerns, history, and goals, and outlining any testing or next steps that may be appropriate.
